We Won!!
-- "Almost like Gwyneth Paltrow at the Oscars...", was Fredrik Myklebust's comment to local newspaper Adresseavisen after the sensational jury verdict at Minimalen short film festival, 12th - 14th of march. Read all about it (if you're norwegian), and see the beholder of the price, his voice trembling, his eyes almost soaked in tears! We got him on tape
And the price for best technical solution, a DV-tripod from Video 4: Future Wars / Fredrik Myklebust.
Jury's verdict:
A movie playing with a genere in which the director without doubt have huge knowledge about, and with elements not often seen in Norwegian movies. The movie's ambitions hare sky-high, and the director sucsessfully reaches it. The Jury are impressed, not only by the use of special effects, but also lighting and sceneography - especially when considering the VERY limited resources at hand.
HEAR THE WORDS OF THE GREAT MARTIAN GOD:
THE VICTORY WAS VERY WELL DESERVED! THE EARTHMEN HAVE LANDED ON PLANET MARS - BECAUSE OF THE FILM FUTURE WARS AND MY DEPICTIONS IN THIS STORY (BASED ON THE TRUTH) THE EARTHLINGS WILL NOT BE WASTED BY US.

The filmclub of Samfundet, Trondheim presented FUTURE WARS on September 2nd 2003. There was an exclusive pre-screening presentation from the director, Fredrik Myklebust and everyone who attended (a whole bunch of people) had a great time. The questions now are; when will FUTURE WARS be screened in the rest of Norway and will there really be a PART 2??

Well, we finally did it...
May 2001 - the planning phase.
May 2002 - the shooting phase.
May 2003 - the releasing phase.
The film FUTURE WARS is 34 minutes long and does not have a silent moment...(Beware the Grotesque Human Experiments...) There's Action, Tragedy, Monsters, Disasters and Space Battles. A Man blasting his fierce Gatling, a Man launching his awesome rocket, a Tower collapsing, the Villain acting menacing, the Spaceship going through an asteroid-field, the dogfights, the massacre, the doomed Planet Earth, the Sinister Alien voices in the Woods, etc. etc.
CAN YOU SURVIVE FUTURE WARS
...IT HAPPENED!
